The friendly face on the phone: Ontario/Nunavut’s new communications coordinator.

We’d like to introduce Maria Alexandrou!

She is the new communications coordinator with the Ontario/Nunavut region. She is responsible for answering phone calls, emails and checking the online reporting system from the public and various agencies.

Maria is no stranger to working with wildlife. She recently worked with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry on their trap, vaccinate and release rabies program. She also has extensive experience from her time with the Toronto Wildlife Centre helping treat injured, sick and orphaned wildlife.

In her spare time, Maria is an avid birder and amateur botanist! She enjoys spending as much time as she can outdoors. 

So, make sure to say Hi to Maria next time you call the ON/NU region.
