New veterinary resident at the Quebec Regional Center

We are pleased to welcome Marion Jalenques, our new veterinary resident in Wildlife Health Management. During this three year training program, which started last September, Marion will be actively involved in the activities of the CWHC.

Marion obtained her veterinary degree from the École Nationale Vétérinaire de Lyon (VetAgro Sup) in France, and completed a master in ecology at the Université de Lyon. She was also involved in veterinary epidemiology and wildlife medicine training in France and Quebec. Following her graduation from veterinary school in 2015, Marion has worked in a mixed practice (small and large animals). Marion interests include problems in the wildlife-people-environment interface (zoonosis prevention and impact of Human activities on wildlife health). She is also interested in wildlife welfare issues associated with capture methods and research activities.
