Changing of the “guard” at CWHC-Quebec
We wish to highlight the completion of Benjamin Lamglait’s residency program.
During this three-year training program in zoological medicine, Benjamin had the opportunity to increase his knowledge and skills on different aspects of the work of a wildlife veterinarian. In addition to conducting a large number of investigations of mortality incidents, Benjamin worked on various projects, including the monitoring of the health status of muskoxen in Nunavik, the chemical capture of free-ranging moose and the deployment of transmitters in belugas. The CWHC-Quebec team joins me in thanking Benjamin for his valuable contribution to our wildlife health surveillance program. We are fortunate to have Dr. Lamglait with us for another year since he will act as regional director for CWHC-Quebec during my study and research leave in 2020.
We also wish to welcome our new resident in zoological medicine: Dr. Juliette Raulic. Juliette completed a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine at the Université de Liège, Belgium and than an internship in zoological medicine at the Université de Montréal. During her residency-training program, Juliette will have the opportunity to be involved in the activities of the teaching hospital’s Zoological Medicine Service, as well as of the CWHC-Quebec node. Welcome in the team Juliette!
