The CCWHC Ontario/Nunavut Region is collaborating with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to conduct surveillance for White-nose Syndrome, which is associated with large-scale mortality in bat populations.

White-nose Syndrome has been confirmed in three new counties within Ontario this year.  The 2012 additions include Wellington County, Haldimand-Norfolk County and Niagara County.
