Introducing Dr. Dale Jefferson – Data and Communications Officer, CWHC National Office
The National Office of the CWHC would like to introduce Dr. Dale Jefferson as the new Data and Communications Officer. Dale completed his BSc. (Hons.) and MSc. in biology at Saint Mary’s University in his home town of Halifax NS. In 2009 he relocated to Saskatoon to complete his PhD. in biology at the University of Saskatchewan. Dale’s research has centered on factors that affect the diet of reptiles and amphibians, and the subsequent influence of diet on the growth and development of individuals and on the structure of their populations/communities. His PhD. research focused on factors that influence cannibalism among tadpoles and salamander larvae. Dale has also worked as a research assistant for multiple researchers, regularly volunteers at the Nisbet Bird Banding station in Prince Albert SK, acted as a University animal care technician, held a seat on a University animal care committee, and is a former director of the Saskatoon Nature Society.
