CWHC-Quebec welcomes Dr. Laura Van Driessche
The Quebec Regional Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Laura Van Driessche on its team for the next 6 months. During that time Laura will essentially work on caribou and muskox health as a postdoctoral researcher. Laura completed her DVM in 2014 and her PhD in 2019, both at Ghent University in Belgium. Her training focused on infectious diseases, diagnostic techniques and antimicrobial resistance in ruminants, all in the scope of the One Health Approach. Laura always had a strong interest in wildlife health, she completed multiple internships in South Africa and obtained a certificate for wildlife veterinary medicine and conservation at Purdue University.
